Responsibility of the Editor(s)

Editors play a vital role in journal publishing by ensuring the acceptance of high-quality manuscripts within the journal’s aims & scope. The editor is expected to actively engage with editorial board members and corresponding authors regularly. Editors have the right to seek assistance from esteemed editorial board members and may invite other members if required. Editorial board members are required to review a fixed, set minimum number of submitted manuscripts annually, based on their expertise.

Maintaining the journal’s standards and the quality of accepted manuscripts are the main responsibilities of the editor, along with making the journal approachable to the target audience.

The editor of the journal should focus on:

• Overseeing the submission and review process to make sure the publication of high quality papers
• Clear instructions to authors during manuscript submission
• Adherence to the double-blind peer-review process and publication policy
• Addressing misconduct and handling complaints

Editor/Co-Editor

Together with the publisher, editor(s) are responsible for shaping the scope and policies of the journal and ensuring that the content accepted for publication reflects important work in the research field. They will select papers deemed to be of high quality, and within the scope of the journal for peer review.

Editor(s) are generally appointed by the Chitkara University Publication Council.

Editorial/Advisory board

The editorial board is constituted by experts appointed by the editor from within the journal’s scope. Members may serve on several journal’s editorial boards and their role for the journal includes:

• Reviewing submitted manuscripts
• Advising on the journal’s aims and scope
• Attracting new manuscript submissions
• Submitting their own manuscripts
• Proposing topics for special issues
