About us

Established in 2011, Chitkara School of Health Sciences (CSHS) is exclusively dedicated to imparting quality education to prepare future health care professionals (https://www.chitkara.edu.in/healthscience). The school envisions training and developing healthcare professionals who can make a difference in the quality of life for all those who require healthcare services. The course curriculum for undergraduate and postgraduate students is a blend of theory, practical experience and clinical/industry exposure. The esteemed faculty and strong collaborations with industry leaders (both national and international) have been the pillars of this successful journey over the last 10 years. Training with the industry helps to develop a high degree of conceptual skills, analytical skills and a solid technical knowledge base, preparing students for hospitals and related healthcare domains. The school offers more than 14 UG/PG programs in different fields, including Allied Health Sciences (Medical Lab Sciences, Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, Operation Theatre Technology, Dialysis Therapy Technology), Optometry, Physiotherapy, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Nursing. The school also offers doctoral programs in several domains of Health Sciences.

History

The Journal of Multidisciplinary Research in Healthcare is an international peer-reviewed journal managed by Chitkara School of Health Sciences and published by Chitkara University Publications of Chitkara University, Punjab, India. Chitkara University is a leading non-profit university in India, established with the clear mission to pursue excellence in all fields of education and to adhere to the highest standards of academic rigor in all its work.

Since its inception in 2014, the journal has been devoted to the rapid publication of original research articles, survey reports, and reviews from all branches of healthcare, namely: healthcare management, optometry, nursing, and allied health sciences. However, since 2021, the journal has adopted a double-blind peer review policy and now considers original articles, review papers, case studies, and invited editorials for publication. The journal was founded and is currently being managed by distinguished editorial board members who have extensive academic qualifications, ensuring that the journal maintains high standards of scientific publishing.
