Dr. Sharma is a distinguished scientist with over two decades of global experience spanning drug discovery, pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology and advanced quantitative modelling. Currently serving as the Global Head of the Clinical Physiological Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) Modelling Group within Clinical Pharmacology and Quantitative Pharmacology at AstraZeneca (Cambridge, United Kingdom), Dr. Sharma brings unparalleled expertise in bridging translational science with regulatory and therapeutic innovation. Over a career exceeding 22 years, Dr. Sharma has held pivotal roles including study director, study monitor, DMPK project representative and PBPK modeller across prominent multinational pharmaceutical organisations such as Johnson & Johnson (USA), AstraZeneca (UK) and UCB Pharma (Belgium). His work has significantly advanced understanding in pre-clinical DMPK, safety assessment, and clinical pharmacology, driving impactful decisions in drug development pipelines. Beyond research and development, Dr. Sharma plays an influential role in scientific leadership. He is the nominated Chair of the PBPK Cross-Industry Simcyp Consortium Member Group, leading strategic scientific initiatives that shape industry best practices. Furthermore, as Co-Chair of the Simcyp Biologics Focus Group, he contributes to pioneering efforts in biologics modelling and simulation. A prolific contributor to scientific literature, Dr. Sharma has authored several peer-reviewed publications and regulatory reports. Additionally, his service as a respected reviewer for numerous high-impact journals further underscores his commitment to advancing scientific quality and integrity.

Prof. Gulia currently serves as Director of both the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre in New Chandigarh and the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital in Sangrur, Punjab, India. In addition, he is the Convenor of the Bone and Soft Tissue Disease Management Group at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, India. A pioneer in the field, Prof. Gulia was instrumental in establishing the country’s first dedicated sarcoma society, the Indian Musculoskeletal Oncology Society (IMSOS), where he serves as a founding member and its first Secretary. He also holds leadership roles as Chairman of the Osteosarcoma Committee for the Indian Paediatric Oncology Group, Country Representative for the Asia-Pacific Musculoskeletal Oncology Society, and as an executive committee member of the Oncology Section of the Indian Orthopaedic Association. Renowned for his commitment to patient care, Prof. Gulia has a special clinical interest in biological reconstructions and the management of pediatric and pelvic sarcomas. Widely respected for his compassionate approach, he continues to advance musculoskeletal oncology through dedicated leadership, research and service. Deeply engaged in clinical and translational research, Prof. Gulia is serving as lead principal investigator in multiple clinical studies and has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications along with numerous book chapters. His editorial contributions include serving as Editor for multiple journals, alongside regular peer-reviewing for several national and international journals.

Dr Bakshi has over 22 years of experience in healthcare industry having worked as a clinician, healthcare management professional as well as an academician. As the Dean of Chitkara School of Health Sciences, she is spearheading learning and development, research and innovation as well as social outreach and extension activities of her department. Her areas of specialisation includes Telemedicine, Healthcare IT, Emerging domains in Healthcare management and education, Preventive healthcare,Holistic approaches to Health and Nutrition. She has been actively associated with several NGO’s working in the area of preventive health as well as mother and child health. Instrumental in organising regular health check camps as well as awareness campaigns for the nearby villages . And also serving as the Coordinator for DST supported Health Resilience Resource Centre working on the problem of Anaemia in the women of Punjab Through such endeavours- Dr.Sonika has been working incessantly in the area of preventive health and education.
