Publishing Ethics

Responsibility of the Author(s)

The Journal of Multidisciplinary Research in Healthcare and its dedicated editorial team takes very serious note on plagiarism, citation manipulation and on data fabrication. In case of plagiarism (the journal uses iThenticate plagiarism software), we follow the zero-tolerance policy in the core work of the author’s manuscript and it includes the abstract, hypothesis, data points/observations, result or its interpretations, summary, and conclusion. Similarity (plagiarism) checks beyond 10% attracts strict decision on author(s) by the Journal’s committee & Chitkara University Publications, which can be in specific cases lifelong ban and withdraw of benefits if any provided to the author(s) and it’s home institute/university or society for further publication in the journal. Even when scientific misconduct is unintentional, breaking the publishing ethics rules can badly damage your reputation as a researcher as well. As an author, it is your responsibility to ensure that, you publish ethically and maintain the standards of academic publishing.

Removal of author(s) name after publication

If corresponding author(s) requests the journal to remove one of the co-author name or vice-versa, in both the cases one have to submit appropriate reason(s) to the journal editor. The request letter should be forwarded by the concerned Institute/University of the applicant, who requests for such action.

In this case, the Chitkara University Publications will follow the publication ethics guidelines and procedure as given in the flow chart: https://publicationethics.org/sites/default/files/authorship-removal-after-publication-cope-flowchart.pdf

Conflict of interest(s)

A researcher always tries to bring the truth of hidden science and/or development of existed research to his/her readers through theoretical and experimental data. In this process, the researcher may be a single person (independent) to perform the research and/or in a group associated with the Institution (s).When a researcher submit his/her manuscript to the journal as a corresponding author it is very important that author declare competing interest, if there is any. This competing interest may be among the corresponding authors, other authors and institution, reviewer of the journal, editor/chief editors of the journal.

Before manuscript submission, the corresponding author should make sure about any type of conflict of interests and declare in the manuscript clearly about the same.A reviewer who accepts the paper for reviews must check it, to avoid any type of conflicts before and after the publications of the manuscript. The same is true for the other editorial board members of the journal.
